Reusable Food Packaging Conference
We are turning reuse into reality on October 23
How can reusable food packaging systems work in practice – and what does it take to make them scalable?
Join us in Denmark for the conference Reusable Food Packaging Systems – European Experiences and Solutions on 23 October 2026. The conference will take place in Albertslund – a municipality located approximately 20 km west of Copenhagen.
At the conference, we will present the results of three years of testing and implementing reusable food packaging systems in real-life settings across Europe.
Municipalities, companies, universities, NGOs and system operators have collaborated in this EU-funded initiative. At the final conference, you will meet the actors driving the transition from single-use to reuse and gain insights from systems tested in public institutions, events, food markets and urban public spaces.
Learn how reusable food packaging systems are being developed and implemented in:
- public catering
- events and festivals
- takeaway and food markets
- strategic initiatives supporting the transition to reuse systems.

Take the S-train Line B to Albertslund Station. Gate 21 is approximately a 10-minute walk from the station.
By car – about 20 km from central Copenhagen

For international visitors
If you are arriving from outside Denmark, Copenhagen Airport (CPH) offers convenient connections to Albertslund by train. From the airport, take a train or metro connection into central Copenhagen and continue by S-train Line B to Albertslund Station. The total journey typically takes around 35–45 minutes, depending on connections.
